Code of Conduct
All team members are expected to be orderly, courteous, and show good sportsmanship during practices, meets, and at any team-related function. Any inappropriate behavior may constitute cause for dismissing a swimmer from practice or a meet, or be sent home from a team function or possible suspension or dismissal from the team.
Swimmers should always:
- Make an effort to show good sportsmanship
- Show respect for coaches and teammates
- Represent their team with pride
- Come to practice and meets prepared with appropriate attire and equipment
- Actively participate and be willing to try new and difficult things
- Clean up after yourself
Parents should:
- Not be on the pool deck during practice
- Let coaches know at the beginning of practice if swimmer is leaving early.
- If you need to leave a meet early, please notify someone in the bull pen
- If you have to discuss something with a coach, please do not approach them during practice. Either meet with them after practice or arrange another time.
EVENT RSVP's & JOB SIGNUP
SOME EVENTS NEED A RSVP FROM EACH SWIMMER.
MEETS - BE SURE TO INDICATE YOUR AVAILABILITY FOR EACH MEET...EVEN IF YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING.
Go to the Signup Calendar page. Click on each Swim Meet and indicate whether you are available or not by clicking on "Meet Entry". This is essential for the coaches making the lineups for those events. There are 4 dual meets and 1 city meet. Please respond for each one individually.
THIS WILL AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE ON THE TUESDAY @ 12NOON BEFORE EACH MEET.
JOB SIGNUPS
Job Signups/Volunteer roles are required for EVERY MEET (home and away). Meets don't happen without the help of the WCW families. Please signup! Go to SignUp Calendar, click on the meet Job Signup button and pick your poison.
11+ year old swimmers are able to volunteer with the 5-7 year old practices each day, and it counts towards Beta Club hours (forms for RSMS & SMHS attached) Click on SignUp Calendar, pick the day your 11+ year is available and sign them up using the Job SignUp button. There are 12 volunteers required each practice.
If your child can't make the day they have signed up for, it is their responsibly to find a fill in. If your child doesn't turn up on a day, without cover, they will not be allowed to volunteer for the remainder of the season.
Friday is DONUT Day. One volunteer is required to collect and pay for the pre-ordered donuts at Publix Wilshire and deliver to the clubhouse by 8.40am. You will be reimbursed.
